About our Tree Farm in Hawaii
Our Live Christmas Trees are ready to cut and take home from our tree farm for houses, apartments and local businesses.
Our Christmas Trees are grown from the seedling stage right here in Hawaii and grow up in the fertile soil and the gentle rains of the beautiful Hamakua Coast.
The local environment on our mauka property is perfect for growing the Portuguese Cypress and Arizona Cypress that we carry.
Portuguese Cypress (Mexican Cypress)
The first Christmas Tree that we started off growing was our Portuguese Cypress, also known as Mexican Cypress.
We are proud to be a proponent of bringing these Hamakua Coast traditional Christmas Trees back in style on the Big Island.
We continue to learn more about the history if these Hawaii favorites from our customers and friends and family.

- These are affordable Christmas trees that stay alive for weeks after being cut
- Their shape and scent are more reminiscent of traditional Pine Christmas trees than other options like Norfolk Pine often found in Hawaii.
- We have thousands of trees to choose from, across a wide variety of sizes and shapes.
- You can pick and cut your own tree and reserve your own months ahead of time.
Arizona Cypress
Our newest addition to our Hawaii Christmas Tree Farm inventory is the Arizona Cypress, named for its primary native area of the southwest United States.
Here’s some of what sets these Arizona Cypress apart as being an awesome Hawaii Christmas Tree
- They start out cone-shaped like Christmas Pine trees.

Why Not Norfolk Pine
While Norfolk Pines have become a sort of staple in the Hawaii Christmas Tree market, we decided to go a different direction for a few reasons.
- Our Cypress Christmas Trees have a rich Hawaii history
- They can be replanted after being cut, resulting in great sustainability long-term
- So many people already do Norfolk Pines for Christmas. We like to be unique!
